Computer Docking Station
With a Computer Docking Station, you can have your printer, speakers, mouse, modem and even a scanner all hooked up to your notebook without the hassles of unplugging and plugging their connections.

Generally speaking, a docking station is a small to medium sized box that has a regular opening on one side and a variety of ports and jacks on the other.
Once you have hooked up your other equipment to it, you will no longer have the hassle of undoing all of the wires and plugs to make your notebook portable again.
For many users, they are said to be worth their weight in gold, and are great timesavers as well.
This is especially true when you think of the time it takes to get every cord put back into your laptop, making sure they don’t become tangled or they are long enough to reach.
With a computer docking station, you can just pop your notebook in and out of the opening without having to mess with the connections ever again. I really like the usability.
Whenever you want to use your notebook for a desktop, you can’t hook up a digital or handheld camera or a flat screen monitor.
However, with a computer docking station you can do all that and much, much more.
Over all, they are a very useful thing because if you have images to download and all you have is your laptop, you will be out of luck.
Another great point is the comfort they provide. If you find yourself typing for hours a time on the made-in keyboard on a laptop can be as painful as it is annoying.
Laptops are great for working in the short term, but otherwise they are not that great. With a computer docking station you can connect a normal keyboard, not to mention a larger monitor and regular mouse. For me, it’s a must have!
